Any advice?

This past year I have felt very down and not like my usual self, but this summer i have felt completely depressed and I dont know if I should go see a therapist. I have talk about it with my boyfriend but I feel that it is not enough. Does anyone have any advice?

Also I think it might be because of my birth control pills, I started taking them this time last year. But I do not know how to determine if that is the reason I feel like this.
