Is a Preconception visit worth it?

I am 4 months out from beginning our TTC journey!! Should we do a preconception doctors visit or is it a waste of time? Any advice on how I can prep my body for pregnancy?

I clicked yes, but wanted to comment anyway, I know there are a lot of antivax and "It's in God's hands" people out there but it's good to make sure you're kept up with all vaccinations to protect your little one in your womb. There are several diseases (definitely with the measles outbreak a few months ago) that can do some serious harm if you come accross them. They should also check your bloodwork to check if you need any extra vitamins on top of pronatal.

Yes I would get STD/STI testing done for both you and your SO, they should also check your thyroid levels and other blood work to see if you’ll need additional monitoring during pregnancy.

Start off with taking Prenatal vitamins & folic acid. Using Opks & tracking Bbt can be great when TTC. Good Luck 🤞 baby dust
