Nuvaring?

Question

So I just started the nuvaring about 2 weeks ago and it’s almost time for me to remove it. I noticed that I’m spotting which I do close to when my period starts so if I get my period before I remove the ring, do I go ahead and take it out or wait until I’m off my period? Also would it be okay to put the new one in as soon I’m off my period as well? Sorry for the dumb questions this is just my first time being on the ring.

Answer

The ring shouldn’t be affected by the spotting and viceversa. If you get your period just wait until the day that you have set to take it out. It’s about the number of days and not the bleeding itself. 
I usually take mine out on the 24 day and put it back in 4 days later. Which usually means I’m putting it in the first day of my actual period. (Never fails to be 3 days after taking the ring out I start my period) 
Maybe TMI but I just make sure to take the ring out and give it a rinse in the shower everyday while I’m on my period, and the last day too. Just to keep it clean-ish
