I am only taking folic acid and vitamin D. I am taking baby aspirin too. Research shows that you do not need to take prenatal vitamins, like pregnacare, apart from folic acid and vit d, but many women still do choose to do so. It’s you’re pregnancy so if you feel you want to take prenatals then do, maybe have a little google about it all 😊

You can, I however note that many doctors dont tell you to until 2bd trimester.  Note this, theniron in prenatal vitamins can result in nausea.  Something with your hormones and the iron. I took mine at night and that nauseous feeling stopped one time. The couple of weeks I took it in the morning I felt sick.

I was taking folic acid prenatal (10 yrs) before I got pregnant at the suggestion of My gyn and RE. My Dr prescribed me prenatal pills but I hate them so she ok'd me taking over the counter prenatal's. As long as it has iron and dha in it, she doesn't care.
