For a month old our pedi said 2-3 ounces every 2-3 hours. We told her he was drinking 4 ounces at most feedings. He cries and roots for for when we feed him less. She said that was fine and continue doing what he needs.

There's no specific amount, it depends on the baby. If baby is still showing signs of hunger, feed more. It could also vary in each feeding.
