Bring Hospital bag to appointments?

Nicole

This might be a dumb question but I’m on bedrest at home with too much time to overthink 😇.

Question:

I have been transferred to the care of a MFM specialist at the hospital nearest to us with a level 3 nicu. I have weekly appointments to check my cervix and have been told at any given appointment they will admit me for the remainder of my stay - do I bring my bags with me or will they let me go home and get what I need??

I got admitted once already (different hospital) and was unprepared and have to have someone else pack my bags 😫. Yes, I apparently have control issues haha!

Background:

I am 26.5 weeks with di/di twins. I have been out on bedrest at home due to a shortening cervix (my last check was 1.5cm (dropped in two weeks from 2.4, and previous to that dropped from 3.9 in 4 weeks). I am also on vaginal progesterone and am not a candidate for a clercage due to it being twin, though I’ve heard of others getting one, perhaps in the USA...I’m in Ontario, Canada. This is my 3rd pregnancy, 1 loss, 1 singleton and now twin girls!
