Has anyone gotten pregnant with IUD?

Question

I got my Skyla IUD in March, and as of today my period is 12 days late. I know it is possible to miss a period with an IUD, but this has me wondering. I feel very tired, but no other symptoms. I’m considering taking a pregnancy test but it seems silly when the chances are so small. Have any of you gotten pregnant with and IUD? Have you missed your period this soon after getting one? Curious what others’ experiences have been!

I’ve had mine for hmm 2 or 3 years now and my cycles are still crazy irregular (like what you’re describing or like twice in a month), but my best friend has one and hasn’t had a period since she got it in. Anywayyy I was speaking with my doctor and she was like any unprotected sex blah blah blah and I was like well yeah. She told me that a friend of hers got pregnant with one so it’s completely possible.

Not me personally but I work in the medical field. A women (patient) came in pregnant while her iud was still in...  doc tried removing the iud but that was tricky so they referred her to a specialist where they also had no luck. So basically, she’s prego with an iud in her. Take the preg test, the chance is low but it’s still there
