Bleeding at 5 weeks PP?

So I am 5 and a half weeks postpartum. Last week my lochia was yellow and pretty much gone. Last night I started spotting bright red and cramping a little. It feels just like the start of my period, but I am breastfeeding my son & didn’t think it could come back so soon. The bleeding is very light but red. Should I be concerned? Did anyone else experience this? Could it be my period? Thanks!

Breastfeeding doesn't always keep your period away. I know a few woman who thought breastfeeding was like birth control and all ended up pregnant 3-5 months pp. ( not saying you think that) 
It could be your period or it could be normal pp bleeding. With my first it lasted 6 weeks but stopped for about 4 days around 4 weeks. My period came back at 6 weeks.
