Nightmares??

My 8 month old is waking up screaming but she won’t open her eyes so I feel like it’s a nightmare. Last night it happened a few times and I was in tears in just so sad. I feel like she doesn’t hear me or feel that I’m there so I can’t comfort her. Anyone experienced this? I don’t know what to do to help

My 2nd daughter did this for years!! You can’t really do anything to help them and they become very violent. She had her first at 10 months only and had them for hours every single night until she was 6. It was terrible. She is 11 now and occasionally gets them but it was a very rough 6 years for us

My son does it too from time to time.

My LO does this too from time to time. I could never tell if it was pain from cutting teeth that would randomly wake him (cutting 5 at once😩) or nightmares. So sad! Also it wakes me completely up thinking I need to go to him but then he’s still asleep🤷🏻‍♀️

I haven’t personally but a close friend’s daughter does this. Her Doctor has said because she isn’t fully waking it’s a night terror, which is different to a night mare. 
It’s awful to watch, but if it’s the same thing the good news is that they don’t remember them. Hopefully it’s a once off 🤞
