When to stop feeding LO puréed food?

My son turned 8 months on the 3rd and I still make his baby food. I was feeding it to him when we had guests over and they told me I should be giving him table food instead. He has 0 teeth so I'm scared to try too much! Plus, he likes his puréed food and my ped said to start giving table food at 9 months

Go at your own pace. My daughter will be 8 months on the 17th and the only table food I’ve given her was French fries and small bites of mashed potatoes. She doesn’t have any teeth either but she loves to gum the fry. Lol but she still is on baby food and I’m also bf. Hopefully her teeth will come in but until then I only give her thing that she can mash.

No teeth over here either and we’re doing purées. I don’t want to give her chewing foods until she can actually chew them haha

My daughter skipped purées and started eating table food at 6 months. She still doesn’t have any teeth but she’s really good about biting her food and chewing it. If you’re on Facebook a good group is baby led weaning for beginners and beyond

My 2 year old still enjoys purées out of the pouches from time to time 😂 I think if you occasionally start offering table foods, even just a small amount, it’ll at least give baby some exposure to them. But I wouldn’t stress out about cutting out purées completely or having a deadline to switch over to table foods. You know your baby best!

I was wondering the same thing. My daughter loves purées. The other day I wanted to try to give her a Meltie (Beech-Nut makes them) to see if could chew (still no teeth). It was terrifying. She didn’t chew it.  She looked startled. Started drooling and then spit up.
I think I might get her a silicone or mesh feeder so she can practice chewing solids but won’t choke.
