Do you think people who cheat are mentally ill?

My guilt conscious is so high that it’s so hard for me to understand how people who cheat can even sleep at night. Part of me truly believes you have to have something missing in your brain or heart to cheat on someone. Do you think people who cheat are mentally ill?

I'm bipolar have anxiety, depression and ptsd and I have NEVER cheated. Cheating is a concious choice you make not a mental illness. The simple fact you are grasping at straws to justify your actions this way are going to ahow you cant even take responsibility for the type of person you are and are trying to look to place blame elsewhere. Look in a mirror and realize that you made a choice to disrespect your relationship and your partner and you only have yourself to blame for it not any mental illness.

Promiscuity/Cheating is actually related to some mental illnesses. However, having a mental illness doesn't mean you will cheat likewise cheating does not mean you have a mental illness. It's like saying all thumbs are fingers but not all fingers are thumbs.

Ive had depression, i have anxiety and PTSD and I’ve never cheated on anyone 
Please don’t tar cheaters with an excuse of poor mental health. 
Cheaters choose to do that shit. People with mental health issues don’t choose to feel bad and suffer.
