FTM Induction

FTM. Higher risk so they want to induce me after 39 weeks which I’ll be on Saturday 7/20. Dr said I can pick when I want to try the induction. I’m thinking of going with Tuesday 7/23, But will try up until then to see if I can’t get things started on my own. I walk the dog everyday, use the yoga ball, and am eating dates and drinking raspberry leaf tea.

I’ve been having a pretty consistent Braxton Hick contraction when I’ve been hooked up to the monitors for the past 2 weeks so I’m going to ask them to check my cervix at my 38 week appt to see if I’m at all dilated or effaced.

Any thoughts or input about when to decide to be induced? Should I wait longer? It’s weird to me that I have to pick a date and things won’t be happening spontaneously.
