Fibroids!? 😊😢😱🤔

Question

My boyfriend and I are looking to start a family I was having awful periods and after a ultrasound was diagnosed with fibroids. I have 2 and one is positioned almost in my uterus. I made the decision to get surgery, but my Gyno said removal could possibly result in infertility. Anyone have any success stories about babies after fibroids? Trying to be hopeful but also realistic.

🙋‍♀️ I had a myomectomy in 2016, I had 5 fibroids but had the surgery to remove the largest fibroid that was taking up almost my entire uterine cavity (obviously making it impossible for us to get pregnant). After the surgery it's common for more to grow in its place, I then had 8 in 2018 but we started trying that year as I decline lupron injections to attempt to slow the glow of the remaining ones I have and we felt like I was healed enough and ready, we found out Christmas of 2018 we were expecting and I am due August 15th with a little boy 😊💕 you got this!!

I had a fibroid removed after my son was born and just found out i have another but the dr said it’s not affecting my fertility mine is 2.5 cm. I only have one this time. Last time it was 3 of them 3 cm and they grew to a giant one that weighed 5 lbs pregnancy made mine grow. Some don’t grow at all tho. Just depends. My grew til I was 20 weeks then finally quit.. How big is your fibroid ? If it would not affect you getting pregnant then I would wait for surgery. It leaves so much scar tissue and found make it harder in the long run. I’m on month 9 of trying and nothing is working.

I removed 3. I developed scar tissue that blocked my left tube and led me to an infertility journey....

Fibroids can also cause infertility, so it’s a Catch-22. I’ve had two myomectomies and periods are way better...still waiting on a successful pregnancy. I hope your surgery goes well!

I've had a myomectomy to remove them and I'm just fine....u will feel much improvement......I'm not sure if it depends on the position of them, but after my surg. I have been good....best of luck to u!

Oh man I just realized my comment had a bunch of typos and wasn’t very informative if it wasn’t understood. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 I didn’t opt for any surgery as of now. Fast forward to today I started use h castor oil patches in my stomach to ease my pain. It eventually subsided tremendously. I no longer needed ibuprofen or heating pads. I wasn’t trying to conceive but have bettered my pain management. I’m not sure where your at in this journey since August, but I came across this post again in my archive and couldn’t help but wonder. I’m 44 and wasn’t planing on having kids and probably going for a hysterectomy for next year after I switch health care providers. It’s still early. But …. I am now currently and very accidentally 5 weeks pregnant. Being my age, with a 1.6% chance of getting pregnant and having fibroids in top of it, I can tell you it’s totally possible. We are deciding to keep it and hopefully even tho very early in the game will have a healthy happy pregnancy and baby. You got this. And there is hope. ✨🤍

I have the sam thibg going on however not trying to get prgnant at the moment.  I have 3. Largest one being 7.5 cm. I am gling to go with a hikistic aporaoch starting with my diet and aslontakiing fulvic acid and dtox baths. I heard it can reduce size. I too was told sugery can result in a 50% decrease in fertility. I am in tremendous pain when on my period. But i want to try everything else before my otger options. Im Stay away from estrogen loaded and inflamotory foods and try black oxogen organics. Fingers crossed.
