My MIL hasn’t spoken to us in three weeks because I told her I didn’t want to do a baby shower after my sons birth. I asked her to communicate several times to get no response. We extended an olive branch and bought her an amazon echo so she could see the baby whenever she wanted. (We have one too for my mom who lives out of state) we got no response and no thank you.

I don’t understand why she is acting like this two months before her grandson will be here. I mean, I’m 31 weeks and I could go anytime if something happens.

It just seems so petty for her to refuse to speak to us because she couldn’t do the shower the exact way she wanted. It feels like she wanted to be more about her than us..anyone else have MIL boundary issues?!?
