What to do with car seat?

We switched to a convertible car seat and I don’t know what to do with her infant car seat and I have two bases. I know Target takes them for trade in or recycling but I missed the day they do that.

Do you have any friends or family members that are pregnant? As long as it was not in a wreck and not expired, you could gift it to a close friend or family member who is pregnant. My cousin got her car seat that way.  Or you could save it if you think you might have another baby- I think the expiration date is usually like 6 years.

We just switched to a convertible car seat, and we have his infant one with two bases that we and saving because our chicco keyfit 30 is good for 6 years so we will use for our next baby
