Cloth diapers smell? Read all.

So I babysit for a mom and I’m a cna so let’s start there, I noticed her daughters pee smelt like cat pee so I assumed a uti she took her in and she had one. Also her daughter is 8 months. They didn’t keep her daughter because she was cheerful. She never was for me and never ate a full bottle and would go 6 ours without peeing and yes I told the mom all of this I don’t know if she told her ped or not tho. I watched her the next day and it’s been a month now and her daughters pee still smells like cat pee. They do not have a cat and she’s stripped the diapers and has gotten new ones too, Is this just what they smell like?
