Can you use dawn dish soap to clean make up brushes?

All my brushes need cleaned and I don’t know how to clean them🤔🤔

I used to wear makeup all the time the best way I could get them clean was fish soap and a tiny bit of olive oil swirl and rinse extremely well

I use zote soap it's $1 from grocery stores. You can find it in the detergent aisle.
