Let me start of by saying I am expecting my first child with my amazing husband who is black. I am white as hell and personally have not been effected by racism before him or without him with me. I've been called several dirogetory names for being with him and have about snapped off heads and my husband has remained calm. Now why I'm reaching out is every time I've tried to ask my husband for advice on what to say to our son, and how to teach him to handle those mean people when he experiences racism he says just to send our son to him, that it's his job to teach him how to be a black man.... but what happens when hes not there? Our son wont be born till December but we live in the south south and I dont know what to say or how to handle these assholes without blowing a fuse. So I'm reaching out to fellow moms of multi racial children. How do you tactfully handle these bad people without catching charges cause I just know the first time I hear my son called a racist term their will be blood, but it doesnt need to be that way...... please I need advice. Help me.
