Used crib=SIDS

Okay so I don’t even know if this is the right place to post this sorry if it isn’t , So I bet a lot of you are familiar with offerUp well I found a crib that I fell in love with that includes the mattress for 125 in wonderful condition I’m planning on purchasing it but my husbands niece keeps telling me it’s bad to buy used cribs that she heard it causes SIDS since it’s been used that I should buy a new one this and that. that I should buy a bassinet cus my baby can choke in a crib so on and so on and ugh Lol mind you she got brand new cribs with both of her children but she wasn’t the one who purchased them I’m just tryna save money am I wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️
