It never works out. I stayed with my first love for 3 and a half years after he cheated on me behind my back for an entire year and a half. Worst decision I ever made and he the day before our 5th year anniversary actually left me..as I was struggling with my dads severe case of cancer, my own severe mental health and all he could say was “I just can’t do it anymore” and that was it 5 years down the drain. 
when someone can betray you like that it already proves without words that they have zero regard or love for you. Don’t be like me and waste 5 years of your lives. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant with my first child with a man who kisses my feet and puts my slippers on every single morning without fail, don’t settle for dog shit. Please.

I’m in the process of mending my marriage with my husband. If they truly want to be better they will. He actually had to file a restraining order against the girl he cheated with because she went psycho when he ended it. She was toxic and I’m glad he finally realized it. It’s a long process to get the trust back and for us to make things right. But if they really want to change they will. I can see the effort he’s putting in and let’s me see his phone or social media whenever I ask. Counseling has helped up a lot as well.

I honestly think it depends on you and the other person. Is he really worthy of a second chance will he really keep his promise to not do it again will he do everything he can to show you that he can be trusted. And you are you willing to forgive and move forward are you willing to see if things will work and are you willing to take that chance.
