Family judging your name choice

Is anyone else having troubles with this? My husband and I made a deal, he picks the boy name and I pick the girl's. He picked a combination of his Grandfather's name and his own middle name and came up with Carter Douglas and of course his family loved it. I picked a name that I think is beautiful and something you don't hear everyday for a girl amd came up with Skylar Rose. I absolutely love this name! But they, in my opinion, hate it. They never came out and said this , but they keep saying stuff like, "I just dont get why Skylar" or "Skylar just isn't a name I would choose " or they pitch different names to me quite often... I've tried not to make a big deal about it but it's really starting to get to me. What do I do??
