Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits Recipe

I made these tonight as a side for our dinner. So easy and simple.

Biscuits: yield ~12-15

2 1/2 cups bisquick (or a normal pancake mix can substitute. I had to do that this time)

4TBS cold butter

1/4tsp garlic powder

1 cup (4oz) shredded cheddar cheese

3/4cup whole milk

Topping:

3TBS melted butter

1/4tsp parsley (can be dried flakes)

1/4tsp garlic powder

1/8 tsp (AKA a pinch) salt

Preheat oven to 400°

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease.

In a bowl, use a fork/masher/pastry cutter/hands(just be quick to not melt the butter) to cut butter into the bisquick. The butter should be about pea sized throughout the bisquick.

Add in garlic powder, cheese, and milk. Then combine with a fork until just together. It shouldn't be super dry or super wet but it will be sticky.

You can use an ice cream scoop or just roughly measure 1/4in balls and place onto your baking sheet.

Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.

When finished brush the topping on and serve.

To make the topping:

Melt butter and then add the parsley, garlic, and salt. Mix.

My SO tried them for the first time tonight (we just moved in together🥰) and he wants to try some chives or green onion in them too next time to boost the flavor but likes them a lot. I'm riding my little pride glow of him liking them so I wanted to share.
