Sprinkle for my 2nd?!?

I’m currently 5 months pregnant with my second. My daughter will be 18 months when I deliver and I’m having another girl. My family wants to throw me a “sprinkle” but I feel bad expecting people to get me things when I had a baby so recently. What’s your experience with this? Thoughts? TIA!

Same! I’m 6 months preggo and my daughter will be 19 months when I deliver. My husband started asking about my shower and I’m like what shower? Lol. My friend who is due with her first is asking about my shower too. Um, I think it’s tacky to have a shower when my kids will be so close in age and they’re the same gender. I get every baby should be celebrated, but we seriously don’t need gifts. 
I suggested just doing brunch with my girls to celebrate, but no gifts.

My daughter will be 20 ish months when my son is born. Even though they’re different genders and we do need a few things for him...I just can’t. I just feel like it’d be so tacky. Unpopular opinion, I know. But my kids are less than two years apart. I can’t. My husband and I are just buying the things we need.

Embrace it! Your firs will most likely not want to share everything, even if she’s not using it so go ahead register for stuff that way you’ll get 2 of everything and somethings for big sister so she didn’t feel left out! 
Plus no one is obligated to get you stuff they just want to celebrate you and your new mini (they can always just bring diapers)

I feel that if you want to celebrate every baby then go for it. It doesn’t matter what genitals they have or what the age gap is. If you don’t need a lot of things you can say so in the invites. And don’t invite anyone that says it’s tacky. Family and friends generally like to get together to celebrate, play games and eat food.
