How many scans?

So i have my anatomy scan in 2 weeks ( at 20weeks) will i have any more scans later on?

In Oxfordshire we get a 36 week scan as well as it is part of a trail to detect small babies. 
If you answer yes to some questions they ask you about your age and lifestyle you have even more.
My pregnancy is straight forward so I had my 36 week scan and they just check baby for growth etc. 
But usually it is just 12 and 20.

I only got the 2. Our baby was thankfully healthy at 20 week scan but because of their position we didn’t get a good photo or look at their face. 
I didn’t think I’d want more than two scans but once the 2nd was over I felt so sad knowing I wasn’t going to get a glimpse until they were born. 
We opted to buy a 4D scan through Groupon and I’ve booked that in for 27 weeks- so excited!

It depends on the area you’re in.  My hospital routinely offered a 36 week scan too 😊

Depends on where you are in the UK as they are now trialling having 3 more scans to each pregnancy (5 in total) to check size and health of baby instead of measuring your tummy to get baby size as measuring tummy no longer considered accurate.

You normally only have 12 week and 20week scan unless the baby is measuring big/small or there are other worries/complications 😊
