So I know there is a lot of stigma around girls who collect child support, so please no hate. But my sons dad has been playing child support since my son was 8 months. I didn’t ask for any back pay even though the attorney kept offering for me to do it. My son is 2.5 now and the amount of payments I get from him barely covers half of child care. It doesn’t cover anything for diapers, food, clothes etc. so I found out he makes a significant amount more than he did when we finalized everything (or he was lying when we signed.. who knows) because he sent me a picture of employment paperwork he was filling out and he wrote in how much he makes. I low key want to write an appeal to have them re examine our case, but again there is so much stigma it makes me feel bad. I promise I don’t do it for me, I do it for my son. How would you handle it?

** I should update to note, he has never been late or not paid his support payment. It is garnished from his check so he doesn’t have much of an option. He is also actively perusing another job which he would make more money and by law have to report the new job and wages to the court. So I’m torn between waiting it out to see if he gets a new job or just do it now
