Idk what group to post this in but I would like some advice.

We have been watching my necies this summer but we noticed this behavior before. She is turning 9 in August. When she doesnt get her way she throws a tatrum. And i mean kicking, hitting, screaming and crying. My sister by all means does not put up with this and sits her out till she is calm enough to talk to her. Then when you take a stuffed animal away it is a tatrum times 1000. Im thinking because that is like a sercurity blankey to her. Then when she tries to say sorry its like shes moving her mouth but gets fustrated when no words some out and she doesnt make eye contact.

Her sister who is 7 is more mature than her and doesnt understand why she acts like this.

Also during the day she will lick her fingers and touch her face right after that.

Does anyone know if this is just her being stubborn or is it something serious. My sister is hesitiant to go to a dr because she doesnt want her on meds.
