HCG progression?

Question

Did anyone get their bloodwork done right after they got their BFP and the HCG was low ? 
My doctor had me do my HCG yesterday (I got my positive 2 days ago, three days ago it was negative) my levels are 49 so they want me to repeat the test in a week before I schedule an appt.

That actually sounds like a normal number for being so early. As long as it doubles within 48-72 hours that's what matters.

I feel you. At 12dpo I was 11.1 then at 14dpo I was 24.1 and they more than doubled but they keep saying "low numbers" and it's almost like they want a miscarriage or something. I have a third draw on Monday at 8am. Please update us on your draw. I'm a nervous wreck.

It really is not about the first number. There is no standard number hcg should be at for 14dpo for example - it would be completely impossible to have a standard number given that implantation varies from pregnancy to pregnancy.
It frustrates me no end when Dr's / medical staff say a number is low based on one single solitary blood draw, it's inaccurate, they create worry and its just plain wrong!
As long as your number at least doubles over a 48/72 hour period you're all good.... And congrats!

I got my levels checked at 15 dpo and they were 37. Going in tomorrow to see if they’ve doubled. My lines are still light, but they are getting darker. It is discouraging because I see so many women with such strong positives by 14 dpo. Mine was still light even the day after my missed period. My period was due the 10th.

I just had my levels checked today at the ER (I went for pain) and my number is 241 compared to 49 on Thursday. Everything checked out so I guess it’s okay for now !
