Pumping

PNW💚

So I’ve always hated pumping. But i did it with my first two mainly to keep up my supply and continued breastfeeding.

When i found out we were expecting baby #3, I dread the thought of having to pump again. I literally had a countdown when i was breastfeeding my second of when we would hit the year mark so i could stop pumping. We ended breastfeeding for 14m but simply stopped pumping at a year.

Anyway I decided to take a leap of faith and buy the Elvie wireless pump. Its such a big purchase and I debated it for months but decided to just do it a few months before baby was born. The whole time I worried and stressed about how it might not work for me (there’s some mixed reviews about it) and how I would be out all of the money it cost.

Well ive been using it for a few days now and im soooo glad i got it! Im currently in nursing school and so far i have been able to pump during class, in the car and just at home while doing other things. I haven’t returned to clinicals yet so not sure how that will work but so far its worked great for me. I still hate pumping but the Elvie has definitely made things easier.

Just putting it out there because i know i had a hard time finding info about the pump which made purchasing it even harder.

If you haven’t heard of it, its worth looking into. If you’re on the fence about it, I definitely recommend it. Im a mom of 2 toddlers, a newborn and in nursing school. I dont think i would ever get a chance to pump if i used a traditional pump lol.
