*WARNING* I have mirena, I’ve had it in since the beginning of April, this is the second ‘period’ cycle I’ve had where I get these huge clots, has anyone else had this? Do I need to go in?

I’ve had the mirena for 2.5 years and I think I have had all the possible side effects I could get! 
I had blood clots during the first year on and off, and then my period went away, and then came back, and then became just spotting- no periods. I’ve been to the doctor for everything with my mirena (just to be on the safe side) and I often request an ultrasound to make sure, but I’ve never had a bad result. My mirena has been in the same spot for 2.5 years, and is doing its job! (Thankfully). I think you’re totally fine, I just wanted to let you know I’ve had lots of things I *thought* were an issue, but turns out it was totally normal. 
 
If you have women’s intuition that something is wrong, it might be worth a checkup with your GP. But odds are, everything is fine x
