Is Evie (ee-Vee) ok for a full name first name?

Found out I’m having a girl and I know it’s normally just a nickname but I’d just be picking a full name to call her by the nickname Evie... Worried she may not be taken as seriously as an adult though and we’re struggling in agreeing on names. Or it’ll be weird because all the Evelyn’s will use her name as a nickname.Thoughts??

I think it’s really annoying when people name their kid something and plan to call them something else, so I would say name her Evie!!!

I've heard of people calling their kids Evie. I'd personally go for Eve though, and call her Evie as a nickname, just because I feel like it better suits a teen/adult.

but that aside its an awesome name! Haha my baby girl is named Indigo Evelyn, her middle name being mother in law's first name. I felt like if she didn't take to her first name as well since it's rare she could go by her middle name or any nicknames that go with it ;)

Evie is a name itself.  It means life.  Evangeline is the name I'm really leaning to, and she could be Evie for short.  (I like nicknames).

I like it! However, it’s the same name as my neighbor’s cat (who is named after the Pokémon). She’s cute though, so I also think the name is cute!
