Will I ever be able to?

Question

Having a 6 month old now everyone is asking when I will be having a second child? Will it be soon a couple years how long? But honestly Just thinking about another c section makes me have anxiety! Will I ever be able to have another kid who knows because the thought of having a spinal freaks me out! The dr told me he doesn’t think I’d ever be able to have a natural birth. Any moms have this same fear how do I get over it?

I hated the spinal too, but remember that it’s really fast. I am 10 days away from my repeat c section, and when I think too much about the spinal and first going in the OR, I get freaked out. As weird as it sounds, I keep reminding myself that it’s really only an hour or so of being in surgery (plus the obvious recovery), but at least you have your baby at that point. If you want another one, your desire for another child will push the fears to the side enough. I totally get the unpleasant feelings about a c section though!

I had an emergency c-section in 2015 and it was a long recovery and the c-section itself, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. Trust me, I was scared to have another. However, we really wanted 2 children and I knew that a planned c-section would be different than an emergency one, at least that is what everyone told me. 
They were right! I just had my second son in May and he is 8 weeks old and he was a planned c-section. The entire experience was much smoother and the operation itself went fine.

I fell pregnant first round of TTC 19 months post ceaser. I opted for a VBAC which was successful and I would highly recommend trying if you have that option.
Otherwise, other than the recovery being hard I’ve heard nothing but good things regarding elective cesareans.

I had anxiety for a long time as well. In fact, I remember right after having my son thinking “my husband is never going to want another kid after this experience” lol! But maybe it was me that was thinking “I’m never going to have another kid after this” 😂 . They truly can be so traumatic the first time, mostly because you never wanted to have to have a baby that way. Everyone imagines having a baby vaginally, so when that doesn’t happen and you end up having a MAJOR surgery to recover from and a newborn then it seems so overwhelming. My cesarean was technically an “emergency” but I never really labored or dilated I only had it because baby was in distress for an unknown reason at 36+4 weeks. So aside from being able to mentally prepare I basically had a “planned cesarean”. Still was traumatic for me since it was the first one and unexpected. My son is now 14 months old and I’m 8 weeks pregnant and I do still have some anxiety, however with my doctors approval I would like to attempt a VBAC as long as I have a healthy pregnancy. It was a hard decision to make, but I’d like to at least try. If I end up in cesarean then that’s fine too, I did it once I can do it again.

I had an emergency c section in 2015 due to severe pre eclampsia. I honestly don't remember too much because it was fast and I was pretty sick. My 2nd daughter was a planned c section and I was pretty terrified. It went smooth and in the moment it was fine. Now I'm pregnant again and I can't have children naturally so this will also be a c section and I'm scared again! But ultimately it will be fine and you'll just want your baby out and with you.
