I'm planning on using the gas to help me through contractions so that I can still get up and move/walk. I'm bring my birthing ball as well. I just don't want to be in a bed the whole time, but we will see how it goes.

I dont want to risk anything happening to my baby. In my natural childbirth class they talk about the cascade of interventions that can happen once you start injecting drugs like from an epidural or induction. It can affect the baby during delivery as well as after. I personally cant justify potentially harming my baby to make delivery easier for me. Our bodies are meant to do it and women didnt used to have access to medication. Animals give birth in a field alone. We are fully capable of giving birth without drugs.

I read the question wrong I had an all natural (I was supposed to get a epidural) the only reason it was all natural was because my whole labor was 2 1/2 hours from watching up (I woke up in labor) to having my baby I got to the hospital dilated to a 6 and then they can back 30-45 minutes later to check how dilated I was so they could do the epidural and I was already at a 9 and they were like call the doctor and your not getting meds
It was crazy but at least I know I’m not gonna have back problems from the epidural in the future

I don't think it's something you can plan until you are in the situation. I wanted a natural birth with my first son and ended up induced and had to get the epidural and he got stuck and I ended up in theatre with a spinal block as epidural failed. I would like to try natural this time if I go into labour naturally.

Ideally, I wanted to have a natural birth (Epidural if pain was too much) got the Epidural when I was dilated at about 8CM (honestly I whimped out because I was scared, pain wasn't horrible) but ended up having to have a C section after 30+ hours in labor due to my son being too big to deliver on my own, also got two spinal blocks while I was getting ready in the operating room I started to get intense contractions in my back. The first spinal block didn't work so the anesthesiologist had to administer another dose in a different spot.

I had an epidural for my first birth, and it was 100% necessary for me at that time.
This second time around I gave birth completely naturally, but it was much shorter and tolerable. 
I prefer natural, but I know when enough is enough and to get the epidural.
