So, I'm looking for advice

I'll start this off with I'm the type of person to start Christmas shopping really early lol, I normally have it all done by October

So this year, my daughter is 3. And I've been thinking about getting her a tablet. Yes I know, she's super young, I've heard all before. Right now, she has one of my old phones, which is about to give out anyday now, it only works half the time now, she plays games on it here or there, but she mostly uses it for Netflix when in the car. She doesn't use it that often, she's a very outdoorsy child most of the time.

Anyway, the tablet I've been considering is the iPad mini, which is $550 (at least where I'm from it is - Canada). I'm not very fond of that price for something she doesn't use that often to start with. But I haven't been able to find anything else that has as good performance as this tablet. And I also really like the size of it. Let's also keep in mind that this is something I'll likely be using as well!

Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should do?
