Planning for more?

Question

How many of you couples are planning for more babies?
We have our first he is 8 weeks old. My husband is a planner and it took so long and medication to conceive the first time he is already planning for the 2nd. I was told to wait 6 months. I am a stay at home mom and am exhausted with one lol but we've always dreamed of our kids having siblings to grow up with close in age.
Have you talked about having more, to your partner yet? Or has your partner brought it up?

Yes! He keeps saying one more and soon. At first I was on board, but he hasn’t helped at all with our baby and I’m totally overwhelmed taking care of her plus our toddler. I also work a very demanding job and am the majority supporter of our family financially so I’m nervous I’ll be able to take care of 3 kids alone and keep up at work. 
Long story short, I made an iud appt for next week.

I’m 27 & delivered our THIRD boy May 13th. I wanted a girl so badly that I decided to just get my tubes tied versus the heartache of a 4th boy. It was for the best as my 3 boys are a handful and financially we’re in a shitty place right now. I’m trying to finish my nursing degree while still working full time while juggling three kids while leaving 0 energy for myself 💤 Glad I made the decision not to have any more!

I’d like to have more down the road. Two is very difficult to handle. I can’t dedicate time to put my older down to sleep when I have one that’s going to cry so I have to make sure I can get him down then that delays my older’s bedtime. I can’t put her down for naps anymore. It’s like you have to pick between to two and let one cry while you tend to the other. I don’t know how other moms do it with a closer age gap. I’m not even a SAH and it’s hard while I’m on leave. He doesn’t want more cause we can’t even afford daycare right now and finances are not where we would like to be.

Yes! We have a 7 week old boy and are planning on #2 (maybe a 3rd too. We'll see how the first 2 are, then decide). I had 2 miscarriages before my beautiful boy arrived, so I don't want to wait too long, just in case we have anymore issues. I figure we will start trying between 6 months as and a year... but my dr said there is a chance of breastmilk drying up once pregnant again, so we may wait a year (since my 'plan' is to breastfeed for a year.)

I want one more, I have two girls 3 and a 7 week old. My husband has a 6year old from a previous relationship who’s a boy. He doesn’t want more but I want to try for one more next year and praying for a boy but we’ll see where life takes us. Right now I have birth control but it’s a small doseage and they said it should be easy after taking it out to get pregnant. This baby makes me want no more but I know it’s just a baby thing they are getting used to the world.

This was our second and the shop is closed as far as I’m concerned. I plan on getting the copper IUD at my PP visit which should last me until menopause. My husband is hoping I’ll get serious baby fever in 5 years when our best friends are planning to TTC and get the IUD removed but 2 was always my plan and I don’t think I can handle his disappointment if a third was another boy.

Yes my husband wants to wait about 3 to 5 years.. 😭 I think having them close together sounds amazing but he doesn’t

Our baby girl is 8 weeks now. At first my husband didn't want any more but that was before she was born. Now he agrees with me that she should have a sibling. I want to wait until she's out of diapers so hopefully around 2 and half to 3 years old. My husband started bringing up names already and we kind of have a name picked out if it's a boy.  😂

We have a 5 year old boy and a 2.5 year old boy and they are best friends! My little girl is 8 weeks old and I want her to have a sister she can be close with. So, we will probably have another. But not quite yet. Because I’m fired 😴

This is our first and we will not have another until he is at least 3 years old. Two babies is just too much for me.
