I’m 6 weeks with my first and I recently told my mom (I’m 36 years old, married and work full time) and she said she was excited, a few days later on the phone, she was not very nice and when I asked her about it she said she was disappointed because she’d like to see me work a little longer. I started at this job a year ago. I have no plans of quitting and I told her I’m turning 37 next month and the quality of my eggs go down as I get older. I also have PCOS and have been told it would be super hard and would probably need help getting pregnant, which I didn’t need help so this is all a big surprise (even though we were trying). I’m feeling sad as I wish my mom was excited for me instead of disappointed. Just venting....
