Let’s talk formula?

Question

For those who will be doing formula or supplementing here and there with it. Which brand you decided to go? I’m not worried about the price as I’m mostly going to breastfeed, but want to have it as a back up. I was looking at HiPP Dutch version, but which country has strict regulations? 
Also why palm oil is bad? I hear people screaming about this, but couldn’t find any factual info and all baby formulas have it 🙈

I've read European brands of formula are better and palm oil is bad when it isn't heated and stored properly

If you can afford it, look into HiPP formula from Europe...
Not cheap but the only ingredients I trust sadly (after researching all the others)

With my son, we tried every brand we could find. He had a hard time with: similac and emfamil. We found gerber gentle was the easiest for him to digest. I’d suggest just trying the samples the hospital offers and the whatever other ones you can find. Babies tend to find ones that work best for their bodies. 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s tough to say what your baby will like.

We used Gerber off and on with our first. We used the 0-6 months. It claims to be closest to mother’s milk and it didn’t have a bunch of extra sugar - which we were trying to avoid because type 2 diabetes is a problem on both sides of our family.
