It all depends on your flow.
My rule of thumb; if you aren’t filling a tampon by the 6-8 hour mark, you need to go down a size. 
If you are one of those people that change every time you pee, or every couple of hours (fyi, that really isn’t necessary, but each to their own,) go for whatever absorbency is being most filled by the rate of which you are changing it.
