Coparents, when did you let baby spend night at their dads house

My sons dad wants him to spend the night but I’m not 100% comfortable with that, my son is only two months, his dad believes in the cry it out method (I do to a certain extent but only when he gets wayyy older) & he doesn’t safe sleep at all! His dad is a heavy ass sleeper, one time when I went to the store & came back he had his arm covering my sons face damn near smooshing him so I just don’t trust him sleeping with him. Am I tripping? Or would you let your 2mo spend the night without you? (He goes to his dads house for regular day visits too)
