Their periods stop because they are extremely malnourished.  Same thing happens to most women who suffer from anorexia.  So it's not cool,, its stupid and dangerous

I’m not vegan, but I have chronic stomach issues- so I’ve been warned time and time again about how not getting the proper nutrients can stop my period.
Sounds like they’re starving their bodies of essential things 🤦🏼‍♀️

No. Bodies that are well-nourished have periods. That’s how it works. 
I also wish we could stop perpetuating the notion that having a period is “cleansing” as if there is something bad or dirty to get rid of.
Our little blastocysts are so demanding, and human pregnancies so resource-demanding, that they need a uterine lining to burrow into and create the network of blood vessels and placenta that will support the fetus. When a body doesn’t get pregnant, that lining isn’t needed, so it’s shed.

I’m a vegan and my period has not stopped. Granted, I do take supplements to make sure my blood levels are normal. However, everyone, not just vegans, should be eating enough and getting enough nutrients through their foods in order to be healthy.

No if anything it helped regulate my period and make me overall healthier. If it did stop their period it means they were doing some kind of dumb fad where they just ate fruit smoothies or something and didn’t get necessary nutrients from veggies, grains, nuts etc

I have not had experience with this. But i do know that diet can have an effect on your period. However your period is a way for your body to cleanse itself to begin with.

I don’t know about vegan I’m vegetarian and have normal periods that are always on time. No problems there I don’t drink milk but I’ll eat cheese here and there. I don’t know how it could stop your period unless you weren’t eating properly missing nutrients. A lot of vegans make mistakes of under eating or not balancing what there body needs.
