IVF for unexplained infertility? Did it work for you?

Hi All! This is my first time posting on this group. Just looking for some advice or experiences regarding IVF for unexplained infertility.
A little history: 27 years old with unexplained infertility TTC for two years. My husband and I have done multiple round of clomid and Femara with TI, unfortunately it did not work (no pregnancy ever). All tests seem to be good however my AMH is low for my age 0.9 😩
My RE has recommended we move straight onto IVF given my AMH levels. He doesn't seem to have faith in the success rates of IUI's however he did say it's up to us.
We are planning on going ahead with IVF and a fresh transfer in September. Have any of you ladies had success with IVF and a low AMH score/ or for unexplained infertility??

We had recurrent pregnancy loss and unexplained fertility. We were able to get preg but not maintain. 2/3 IUI cycles resulted in chemicals and so we went forward with ivf. My very first transfer (frozen) worked and I'm currently 15w+3 and we still have 3 frozen embryos!!!

We actually conceived twice 1 miscarriage and 1 twin ectopic.. I was put on letrozole to give my body a boost after the surgery to remove my twins as I had my right tube snipped.. letrozole didnt work and after repeated test they was unsure why,

as we had conceived before. But we started our ivf treatment in January this year had our fresh embryo transfer put back at day 5 and we are now currently 27weeks with our miracle Boy 💙

We’re unexplained too. There is some success with IUI, but not nearly as high and you can’t do genetic testing. If insurance covers it I say try one to three medicated (so clomid or the like) IUI’s. Then move on quickly to it IVF. Make sure you trust your dr or switch clinics before starting IVF, don’t waste your time with a dr you don’t trust or a clinic you don’t like. Since you’re unexplained it wouldn’t be a bad idea to do PGS and carrier testing, as well as be open to ICSI. Also start prenatal w/DHA, DHEA, COQ10 (both you and hubby), and any other vitamins you might be low on. Your RE or family dr can run a vitamin panel. You could also look at other tests before transfer like immune panel/natural killer cells and HSG dye test, and saline sonogram,etc. better to get extra testing in before going through IVF. Let me know how this goes! I’m 28 and have been ttc for 17 months, just finished my last (3rd) IUI (unsuccessful). My husband has a 10 yr old from a one night hookup, but we have never gotten a positive together
He has super sperm and all my testing came back perfect. 
We are thinking of starting the IVF process in December because insurance won’t cover .. (plus I need a few months to mentally get my mind together, this has taken a massive toll)
I have an apt next month with another clinic just for a second opinion.. I trust my clinic but I don’t see harm in getting feedback from someone else just in case 
We opted out of genetic testing unless we do IVF, my dr looked through our record and said she didn’t see it as necessary right now.
My AMH is 1.45, not sure if this is good or bad, dr said she’s not too worried about it once she saw how well I ovulated on my own, my follicles  and my workup..

I’m in the beginning of my first round of IVF we also have unexplained and have been trying for about 14 months. (I’m almost 27 and husband is 37) My husband
& I both have amazing numbers on all of our blood work and spent about a year prior to trying making sure we were healthy and everything was where it needed to be. We did 2 IUI and multiple rounds of clomid. It was a hard decision to come to because with unexplained you’re like “oh but it could happen naturally right?” Anyways we have decided to move forward and we’re super excited + knowing when time for #2 hopefully having a little reassurance and not having to deal with all this again. (As long as everything goes well!) our doctor also said with unexplained you have an even better chance with IVF so fingers crossed!

My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility 6 years ago when we started trying. We tried 3 medicated IUI’s, all unsuccessful. We did IVF and are 6 weeks pregnant with our first frozen embryo transfer. One of the biggest things I would recommend is PGS testing. Because I’m only 33yo it isn’t really “recommend” but since we were unexplained I felt like “what if that’s our problem?” So out of 9 embryos, 5 were normal. Which means 4 were abnormal. This means we could have had 4 different failed transfers and not know what was wrong. Also look into ICSI. We didn’t use ICSI, but if we had, we probably would have had more embryos. I had 25 mature eggs but only 13 of them fertilized naturally. Hope this helps, good luck 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I was 26 when we started going to the fertility doctor and did 6 IUIs...nothing. Did our first IVF...nothing. Did our second IVF...positive! Our beautiful baby boy was born and he’s perfect. Have been trying to get IVF #3 in the works now! Keep ya head up. Unexplained infertility is a hard diagnosis...I always hate when the doctors say, “oh, you have a beautiful makeup down there...ovaries, tubes and uterus look great!” And then all the tests come back normal....I wish there was a problem sometimes so they could just fix it and it work naturally, but not in our cards. My AMH was .4 so pretty low. We did 3 rounds of IVF with nothing to freeze. We switched protocols for the 4th round and we got 6 to freeze! We are currently 9 weeks!

Have they done genetic testing on you? My amh is low and my doc said it sometimes can be related to being a fragile x carrier-so I would get tested for that if you haven’t been. I have low amh and unexplained (32yo) and my doc said we might get fewer eggs but because of age, they should be good quality. So focus on that! You have a good shot of it working!!
