Is a rocking chair necessary?
I’m trying to decide if I really need a rocking chair. Baby will be sleeping in our room as a newborn, so night time feedings will take place in my bed or the living room couch. We have no set time to transition to her own room; just once night time wake-ups decrease so I’m not spending all night walking down the hall. Walmart has a well reviewed rocking recliner (all fabric instead of wood) on sale for $210 that looks much more comfortable than wooden gliders that are $140+. $200 is not a bad price, but there is a lot I could do with that money and I would hate to buy it and not ever use it. Mamas, did you use your rocking chair often? Was it worth it?
I’m also trying to decide if we will need a swing. I’ve considered buying a cheap $50 one since we don’t have room for a large one anyway, or just waiting until baby gets here and getting one if we need it. Did your babies like the swing?
