What’s the perfect size house to you? 🏠

And how many people do you have living in it? Also how many square footage do you feel is comfortable for a family your size? My husband and I are house shopping for the first time and we have a lot to consider! 🤣

We rent a townhouse and think it's perfect. Ours is 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and is 1288 sq. feet. Most days it's my boyfriend, 9 year old son and I. Every other weekend + extra my boyfriend's 2 sons stay here as well. They share a room with my son and we use our 3rd bedroom as another family / living room. It has the Xbox and wii u. . Things like that. In time we hope to turn it into a nursery.

What would work best for our family is a 4 bed 2.5/3 bath. At least 1700 square foot. We could swing a 3 bed 2 bath home but I’d rather have a spare for guest. 
Living in the home is myself, my husband, my 2.5yr old son and I’m due for baby boy #2 in September. But we also have 2 dogs and a cat and one of my dogs is 155lbs so he takes up some space.

When we started looking at houses 7 years ago he wanted a music room and I wanted an art room. Then one extra for a guest which is now getting turned into a nursery. We have 2 1/2 baths. It's a lot to clean but it helps having all the options lol sometimes I wish the house wasn't so big , it's 2,500sqft. I feel like I'm constantly cleaning especially with 2 dogs

Go bigger if you cna afford it  especially if you plan on having more kids...we got a 1500 2 bed 1 bath with 1 kid never thought we would be blessed with more and I'm prego with baby 4...we purchased our house in 2013....last 2 babies and this one I'm carrying all came in the last 3 yrs

We just purchased a 3 bed 2 bath 1498 square foot house. In a perfect world we would have one more bedroom and a half bath but the area and price was too good to pass up!

We have a 3 bed 2.5 bath, 2 living room farm house. It's just us and our 5 month old right now and it's more than enough space. We have a guest room/cat's room lol and the nursery.
