Breast feeding or pumpping ?

The other day me and my Bf the father of my unborn baby we got an arguement about breastfeeding. He was sayin that i need to breastfeed so the baby can hear my heartbeat and not die of sids. I told him i wanted to pump and feed the baby like that. Do u guys know any truth to what my Bf is aaying. ?.

Breastfeeding does reduce SIDS and hearing your heartbeat can calm baby. Pumping and feeding is still breastfeeding, its just not straight from the ta1p and baby still gets the benefits.

I wasn’t able to get My baby to latch so I pumped and gave it to her from a bottle for five months. She is super healthy, we still got to bond when I fed her, but it does take a lot of work to constantly have to pump 🥴

The skin to skin contact through breastfeeding has benefits, but breastmilk benefits are huge wether it’s pumped or boob! But pumping does take a heck of a lot more effort 😅

It's not a guarantee that the baby won't die from SIDS, but skin to skin is really beneficial. I had to pump for about 10 weeks until he figured out how to latch and will say that my life now without pumping and bottles is WAY easier, so I would give nursing a chance for your own ease.
