Hi Everyone!

Hoping for some encouragement this cycle, and any success stories if you’ve got them. I have PCOS and Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism. I’ve previously done 2 unmonitored cycles of clomid 50mg CD 5-9 with my family doctor with no success.

I was then referred to a fertility specialist and did all my testing and had an HSG with no issues, no blockages. Husbands sperm analysis came back great (of course 🙄). We did two monitored cycles of taking Provera to start a bleed and then Femara 5 mg CD 3-7. I did not grow any follicles the first round so I took Provera again to start another bleed. Second round I had two follicles at 9mm but they were not growing and my levels were not increasing so fertility specialist said it was another failed cycle.

He then prescribed a cycle of clomid+Femara CD 3-7, since the last cycle was annovulatory I didn’t have to induce another bleed and took the combination from July 8th-12th, currently on CD 10. I go in on Wednesday for blood work and an ultrasound and I’m praying that I’ll have some good results, but don’t have high hopes.

If this combination does not work, we are moving on to injectables. My doctor warned me that because I have a very high AMH (because of my PCOS) that there is a possibility that we might convert to a <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> cycle if my ovaries are over stimulated by the injectables. We’re prepared for it financially and are ready to go there if need be but I’m really hoping it doesn’t come to that.

Anyhow, that’s my story 🤦🏽‍♀️ since this combo is still fairly new I’m finding a tough time finding ladies who’ve tried it and we’re successful. I found a study which was a good read but nothing like some real life encouragement right?
