So I currently take a low dosage hormonal birth control pill (only started at the end of May). I am scheduled to have a surgery to remove my tonsils at the end of August. I was reading that before a major surgery you should stop taking bc about 4 weeks before surgery and wait a week after. I haven’t spoke to my doctor yet but I will. (Not sure if a tonsillectomy counts as a major surgery but I will go under anesthesia). Has anyone had any experience with this?
