Endometriosis help
Hi friends, I guess I will just jump on into it. I am 22 and I think I have endometriosis. I know that I have two aunts on my father’s side who has it, so I know it runs in my family. I have had cysts in my ovaries, not sure if it’s related or because I have an IUD. I sometimes have painful sex, and I am usually in pain every day. I don’t mean your average period cramp, though I know how awful those can be. My pain comes in waves and lasts for like 3 min and it usually goes on for hours. Those 3 minutes are full of indescribable pain in my pelvis. I have gone to the doctor, but he chalked it up to being period cramps. I feel like nobody is taking my chronic pain seriously, and it’s so heartbreaking. I guess I am looking for advice on how to proceed, what should I be asking my doctor, and how do I find a new good doctor? I am really scared to be completely honest, I don’t really know exactly of what. I just cannot deal with this pain anymore. Any help or advice would be appreciate. Much love, y’all. ❤️
