Did you or will you register for baby clothes?

Question

I guess I am a little picky about baby clothes, and I honestly would be ecstatic if I could get them all used, but I feel like people are going to buy what they want to when it comes to them (and gifts are gifts so i am grateful for anything!). What is your experience? Did you, or will you, register for all the clothes you needed, just a few pieces, or not at all?

Almost no clothes on our registry.  I have some really nice hand-me-downs from my sister and I just figured we’d get tons of clothes whether we registered for them or not.

I didn’t register for any clothes. We decided we’d rather have people buy bigger ticket items and then add clothes if our registry gets low. It so easy to find second hand clothes at stores and fro friends that we de does it just wasn’t worth it

I registered for a few clothing items. People love buying baby clothes as gifts, so at least I will get some that I like/need. I’m SUPER picky when it come to that. I would rather have no gift than something I don’t need/want. I hate for people to waist their money.

With my first baby my father in law literally bought an entire year’s worth of clothes. Once I went through and sorted things I realized I needed more pants and sleepers in certain sizes. Those are all I registered for, clothes wise. People still only bought what they wanted though, and that was fine by me!

I registered for a few clothing items, mainly because I have a lot of relatives that live far away but I know will send gifts. They can just go online to my registry and pick out some items and have them sent directly to us. If they pick their own clothes then that's fine, but if they want to be lazy then I made it easy for them (and it gives people an idea of the style you like).

I haven’t registered for any clothes. I’m going to let people pick out what they want. I’m having a girl and the first grand baby in the family so I’m sure people are going to buy lots of frilly and pink outfits. Also, a lot of people said that they didn’t get many gifts from their registry.

I didn’t register for clothes because people like to pick them out. We got a ton of newborn to 3 months. Maybe register for some onesies for after that?

So I registered for zero clothes and 2 packs of 4 blankets with my first child............. I got a ton of clothes and more blankets than I could ever use.  I'm expecting my second boy now and theres seriously still clothes and blankets with tags on them.  So people are gonna buy that kind of stuff no matter what.

I’m super picky about baby clothes too. I wasn’t going to put any baby clothes on my registry and told my mother in law this, she suggested putting a few articles on there that I really love because people like getting baby clothes as gifts and that gives them some options to choose from instead of going and picking out their own that may not be in my taste. So that’s what I did, I have 3-4 outfits on there and now I don’t regret it, I think what she said was really smart.
