Yeast infection meds safe?

I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant. I tested positive for yeast infection yesterday and my doctor prescribed me a one time pill called fluconazole it is 150mg. Is it safe to take at this stage in my pregnancy just once? Just wanting some reassurance.

I mean if your doctor said it’s fine but I’ve only ever heard to use the 7 day treatments while pregnant , which I needed around 12 weeks. Maybe just call and ask her to double check?

My Dr prescribed the one day pill for me after I had four back to back yeast infections. I asked the pharmacist when I picked it up just to double check and she also said it was safe. My Dr did say he prefers to prescribe it as a last resort though, because it's so strong it also kills the good bacteria in your body so you're a lot more likely to catch a cold or some other kind of fun stuff. So, when I took it I just upped my probiotics to help rebuild the good bacteria. I was perfectly fine and had relief from the insane itching within three days.

My doctor put me on the 7 day inserts when I got one a while back but I believe you can do either or.

I don’t think ur doctor will give u something that wasn’t safe. I had yeast while pregnant and was given 1 day meds so trust ur doctor
