How many IUI’s until you started IVF?

I’m just wondering how many IUI cycles have you ladies decided to try before IVF? What did your doctor advise? I’m just thinking what I want to do. Should I move forward with IVF... it’s just so invasive and I don’t like the thought of daily needles...

Our Dr. will do 6 IUI’s. We meet with our IVF Dr. and she mentioned that success rates after 4 IUI do not increase odds.

I did three iui... this cycle is timed intercourse. I am beginning the process of ivf.

My dr told me to do 4 IUI’s then IVF. I’ve had 3 so far. 2 resulted in BFN. The third I’m still in the two week wait. If the third doesn’t work its going to be hard to be excited and positive for the 4th. A part of me just wants to move on to IVF and not do the 4th, but my dr wants me to do 4.

Most research shows 3 IUIs max before moving to Ivf. The exception is if your fertility issue is just trouble ovulating-in those cases, up to six rounds of iui could be warranted and fruitful.

We agreed to 2 IUIs then we will go to IVF. I have good insurance though and we just don’t like the low odds of IUI. Our doctor basically made us agree to 2 IUIs since we just wanted to go straight to IVF 🤷🏼‍♀️
