The host of the shower told me that my husband couldn’t come to the shower and asked if he could drop me off and someone could give me a ride home. The shower is 25 mins from home and we’re both going to a funeral an hour before the shower starts in the same town. Also keep in mind that my husband works out of town M-F so the weekend is all the time we have together. The host’s explanation was that the shower was supposed to be all about the mother to be and the baby and that he’d be the only man there. The mother to be said that he would be a distraction. I think they’re both delusional as hell. I’m sorry but if my husband isn’t welcome, I have zero desire to go. I may be wrong for feeling that way but he would have either sit in the car or sat quietly with me. He’s not a loud person and he wouldn’t have caused any kind of scene. I think they’re being ridiculous. Should I go anyway and drive separately?
